Residents are responsible for providing their own food, hygiene products, and clothing. We encourage individuals to maintain their personal space and contribute to the communal living environment. We do have a small food pantry made of donations from former residents or community donations that may include clothing, food stuffs, and even hygiene products.
Resident Guidelines:
We do not place a time limit on length of stay; however, to ensure a harmonious and supportive living environment, all residents are required to adhere to the following rules:
Remain Clean and Sober from Drugs and Alcohol:
All residents must commit to maintaining sobriety. This is essential for personal recovery and the wellbeing of the community.
Attend a Minimum of 1 Recovery Meeting Weekly:
Participation in recovery meetings is vital for personal growth and support. Residents are encouraged to find meetings that resonate with them and attend regularly.
Sign In and Out as They Come and Go:
This helps maintain security and accountability within the house. It’s important for house staff to know who is present at all times.
Strive to Get Along with All Housemates:
A positive living environment relies on mutual respect and understanding. Conflict resolution should be approached with kindness and open communication.
Keep Their Rooms Clean and Tidy:
Residents are responsible for maintaining their personal space and contributing to a clean communal living area. Regular tidying helps create a welcoming atmosphere.
Perform Their Daily House Duty:
Each resident is expected to contribute to the upkeep of the house by completing assigned chores. This fosters a sense of responsibility and teamwork.
Pay Rent on Time:
Timely rent payments are crucial for the sustainability of the house. Residents must adhere to the agreed-upon rent schedule.
We require a full month’s rent and the processing fee to be paid upon move-in and prefer collecting rent on a month-to-month basis. We do allow residents to pay bi-weekly thereafter, if it is a burden to pay monthly, but ask them to strive to budget accordingly so they may pay month to month.
We allow you to pay for a bed in full, in advance, and will not begin deducting from the rent paid until the bed is occupied. We will NOT hold a bed.
If you know a housemate has relapsed, it is your duty and responsibility to notify the manager of this situation. Your information will be anonymous. A resident who drinks or uses drugs while in the sober living home places every resident, manager, and even the owner of the home at risk of relapse. This behavior will not be tolerated.
When a resident is known to have not turned in a housemate who has relapsed, we consider the resident who has not turned in the housemate in violation of our sober living home rules and therefore subject to immediate dismissal.
Curfew for the first 30 days is 10PM, unless the new resident has an existing 2nd or 3rd shift job. While we want our residents to show they can obey our simple rules, we also want them to be able to support themselves
